My job at GetYourGuide consists of product development and writing the occasional blog entry.
Growing up in Beijing and Munich with brief interludes in places like Virginia, USA where I met fellow co-founder Johannes, my two big passions have always been travelling and soccer. Since the latter didn’t quite work out professionally, I instead opted for studying physics in Zurich where, together with 5 friends from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, I co-founded GetYourGuide. Wanting to deal more with objects above the subatomic level, I also indulged myself in economics so I could explain in complicated terms why someone would prefer a dollar today rather than tomorrow. And even though nobody here at GetYourGuide really cares about my models on optimal taxation, they do find some use for me making coffee and occasionally updating our Facebook fan page.
Whenever I’m not negotiating with tour operators from Papua New Guinea or thinking up social media campaigns that will usurp the current world order, you can find me reading the latest Economist, playing (real) football, or listening to Brad Mehldau, Bruckner and Daft Punk.
